What is Thermage?

Thermage is a non-invasive method of skin tightening based on monopolar radiofrequency. The energy generates heat in the deeper layers of skin in a targeted way, while cooling protects the surface. The collagen fibres contract immediately, and over the following months the skin forms new collagen. It becomes firmer and more elastic, and the contours look more defined.
At Innerform in Berlin Mitte, we use Thermage when the skin loses firmness and the contours become softer, on the face, around the eyes, on the neck and décolletage, but also on the tummy, upper arms, thighs and knees.

How Thermage works under the skin
Thermage uses high-frequency radio waves to deliver heat precisely into the deep layers of skin. Special cooling protects the skin surface. The heat causes the collagen fibres to contract immediately, which you can see straight after the treatment. At the same time, it stimulates the formation of new collagen, which is why the skin continues to tighten over three to six months.

In a personal conversation, we discuss your wishes and the realistically expected results, and we analyse your skin.
Treatment
45 to 90 minutes depending on the area. During the treatment, waves of heat alternate with cooling pulses. The temperature is adjusted individually, and most people find the treatment well tolerable. No anaesthetic needed.
Afterwards
No downtime, you are presentable again straight away. Slight redness or swelling usually subsides within a few hours. In the first few days, avoid intense sun and keep the skin moisturised from within and from the outside.
