Lanluma® is an innovative biostimulator based on poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that stimulates the body's own collagen production. What makes it special: Lanluma does not work as an “instant fix” but builds results gradually and naturally. First effects are visible after a few weeks, the full result appears after 2–3 months and, for many patients, lasts for up to two years.
For an optimal result we generally recommend a series of 2–3 sessions at intervals of a few weeks. The exact treatment schedule is tailored individually to your starting situation and goals.
Slight swelling or redness may occur straight after the treatment and subsides quickly. A short recovery period is important: avoid sport, sauna and direct sunlight for 5 days. To support the result, we recommend a special massage of the treated areas – our doctors will show you how to do this easily at home.

The effect of the lactic acid does not begin immediately, because the treatment does not work by filling volume directly but stimulates the body’s own collagen production. First results are visible after about 6 to 8 weeks. The skin gradually begins to produce more collagen, which compensates for volume loss and improves skin texture. The full result usually develops over several months.
For an optimal result, 2 to 3 sessions at intervals of several weeks are generally required. The exact number depends on the individual starting condition of the skin and the desired result. After the initial course, a top-up treatment after one to two years may make sense to maintain the effect in the long term.
Lanluma® offers particularly long-lasting results. As the treatment is based on natural collagen formation, the effect generally lasts for up to 2 years. During this time the body fully breaks down the injected polylactic acid, while the newly formed collagen supports the improvement in skin texture. An occasional top-up treatment can help to maintain the result over several years.
No, a Lanluma® treatment should not be carried out during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. As there are so far no sufficient studies on the safety of polylactic acid during this stage of life, it is recommended to carry out the treatment only after you have stopped breastfeeding. We would be happy to advise you on a suitable time for your treatment.
