The midface lift – often also known as a mid-facelift, midface lifting and midface slimming – is an individualised combination of treatments, usually carried out on an outpatient basis, in which the middle third of the face is sculpted in a targeted way.
Through the precise building up and reduction of volume, for example with hyaluronic acid, lipolysis or anti-wrinkle injections, the cheekbones and jawline are emphasised, the lower cheeks are slimmed and the proportions are harmonised.
Unlike a simple cheek lift, a tired or heavy facial expression can also be noticeably softened at the same time, by tightening the lower eyelid area and the drooping mouth area as well.
Especially for a rounder-looking face or a genetically determined fullness in the middle zone, this method can lead to more expression, lightness and contour – entirely without surgery.

Preparation
Before we lift the midface, we discuss your wishes in an initial consultation and advise on the various methods. Depending on your ideas and the options, we then select the most suitable ones and draw up an individual treatment plan. Our patients also receive guidance to prepare for the day of treatment, as this differs depending on the method chosen.
Day of treatment
Depending on individual anatomy and the desired result, various minimally invasive techniques are used, and the whole treatment often takes only 30 to 45 minutes.
Aftercare & healing process
Slight swelling or redness may occur after the treatment, but this usually subsides quickly. The results then develop within a few days to weeks and, depending on the method used, last from several months to over a year. Midface lift in Berlin: day of treatment
A combination is often used of injectable treatment with hyaluronic acid to emphasise the cheekbones, plus injections of lipolysis preparations or anti-wrinkle injections to reduce volume in the lower cheek area. Targeted dissolving of fat deposits in the so-called “buccal” region can also be part of the treatment.

A minimally invasive midface lift usually carries lower risks, but not zero risk. Typical are temporary swelling, bruising, a feeling of tightness and occasionally asymmetries or temporary sensory disturbances; less common are infections, secondary bleeding, scarring or an uneven result.
A midface lift is usually recommended from the age of 40 at the earliest. Between 30 and 40 in particular, facial skin often changes considerably, so a midface lift beforehand can mean that a further treatment becomes necessary after some time.
