Permanent hair removal with state-of-the-art diode laser technology
Permanent hair removal with Primelase® uses a high-power diode laser whose light energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and converted into targeted heat. This damages hair follicles in the active growth phase so severely that they can no longer produce new hair permanently. The system works with several wavelengths, is designed for different skin and hair types and has a Crystal Freeze cooling system that makes the treatment faster and more comfortable. Depending on body region, hair density and hormonal factors, about six to ten sessions several weeks apart are usually required, since only hairs in the growth phase can be treated effectively. Before the treatment the skin should not be tanned and the hair should be shaved, but not plucked or waxed; after the sessions the treated hairs fall out within one to three weeks.

Primelase® is one of the most advanced high-power diode lasers on the market. During the treatment, the laser, or the gentle pulses of light, penetrate deep into the hair follicle and deactivate it permanently – without damaging the surrounding skin.
Unlike older systems such as the alexandrite laser (755 nm) or the Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm), Primelase® works with modern multi-wavelength diode laser technology. This allows several wavelengths to be used at the same time, depending on the depth of the hair follicles.
This makes the treatment particularly safe, efficient and comfortable, even for sensitive or sun-tanned skin. The result is also noticeably more even as a consequence.
After just a few sessions there is a clear reduction in hair, and regrowth becomes finer, sparser and slower. With each treatment not only does hair reduction improve, but often skin quality too – ingrown hairs and shaving irritation decrease noticeably.
For permanently smooth skin, we recommend a series of 6–8 sessions, depending on the area, hair colour and individual hair growth cycle.
The intervals between appointments are usually:
- every 4–6 weeks for the face,
- every 6–8 weeks for the body.
One to two top-up treatments a year also help keep the result stable in the long term.
Step 1 – Preparation & analysis
It is important that you shave the area about 24 hours before the treatment, so that the light can be guided ideally to the hair root. In addition: do not pluck, wax or epilate 4–6 weeks before the treatment.
We then expect you at your agreed appointment. Depending on the body region, you remove clothing or jewellery and make yourself comfortable on our comfortable couch. To protect your eyes you are given laser safety goggles. We then analyse your skin type and adjust all laser parameters precisely to your skin. This individualisation is crucial for a safe and effective result.
Step 2 – Laser pulses & skin-friendly technology
When the laser pulses are triggered, you feel a slight warmth or a gentle pinch.
Large areas such as legs or back are treated with larger spots so that the session goes particularly quickly. For fine or small zones such as the face, armpits or bikini line, smaller spots are used instead, in order to capture every hair optimally.
Finally, we apply a high-quality micro-silver product that soothes and protects your skin and supports regeneration.
Step 3 – Aftercare & scheduling
Straight after the treatment you can get dressed again and carry on with your day as normal.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, modern diode lasers such as Primelase® are suitable for almost all skin types, including darker skin. However, the laser works best on dark hair, as it contains more melanin. Very light or grey hair responds less well to the treatment.
As hairs are in different growth phases, 6–10 sessions at intervals of 4–8 weeks are usually required to remove all hairs permanently.
The treatment is well tolerated, as Primelase® has a cooling system that protects the skin. Some people feel a slight prickling or sensation of warmth, but no severe pain.
Yes, with laser hair removal the treated hair follicles are destroyed and do not grow back. However, hormonal changes (e.g. pregnancy or medication) can cause new hairs to develop, which then need to be treated again.
How long a laser hair removal treatment takes depends mainly on the area of the body being treated. Small areas such as the upper lip take only a few minutes, while larger areas such as the legs or back can take up to 60 minutes. A full-body treatment takes around 90 minutes.
- Before the treatment: shave about 24 hours beforehand. No sunbathing or self-tanner, and no hair removal with wax or epilation.
- After the treatment: avoid direct sunlight, apply sun protection and avoid saunas and sunbeds for a few days.
After laser hair removal, slight redness or swelling may occur, but it subsides within a few hours.
