A hair transplant is the most effective method for regaining permanently full hair. Men in particular, but also women, suffer from hair loss caused by genetic predisposition, hormones or other factors. By transplanting your own hair follicles, denser, naturally growing hair can be achieved again – for a healthy and confident appearance.
Hair loss can be genetic (androgenetic alopecia) or made worse by factors such as stress, nutritional deficiencies or illness. Receding hairlines, bald patches on the crown or thinning hair in particular can have a strong effect on appearance and self-confidence.
Method
At Innerform we use the FUE (follicular unit extraction) method: individual hair follicles are taken from a donor area (usually the back of the head) and re-implanted in bald areas. This technique is particularly gentle, as no large scars are left.
Recovery and aftercare
After a hair transplant, physical exertion, direct sunlight and intensive scalp care should be avoided for a few days. Gentle hair washing with special shampoos is recommended in the first weeks after the procedure. Scratching or rubbing the scalp hard should also be avoided so as not to endanger the freshly implanted grafts.
Long-term results and prospects of success
The transplanted hair is usually permanent, as it comes from a genetically resilient donor area. A healthy lifestyle, a balanced diet and optimal scalp care can further support the result. Depending on the extent of the hair loss, several sessions may be necessary to achieve a dense, even appearance.

Consultation and planning
Before the procedure, a detailed analysis of the hair loss and the donor area is carried out to determine the suitable method and the number of grafts required.
Preparation and anaesthesia
The donor area is shaved and locally anaesthetised so that the hair follicles can be harvested without pain.
Harvesting the hair follicles
Depending on the method, the hair follicles are harvested either individually (FUE) or as a strip (FUT). The harvested grafts are carefully checked for quality.
Preparing the recipient area
Fine channels or incisions are made in the bald or thinning area for the transplant. The natural direction of hair growth is taken into account to achieve an aesthetic result.
Implanting the hair follicles
The prepared hair follicles are inserted into the recipient area one by one. This precise placement is crucial for a natural appearance after healing.
Aftercare and healing
After the procedure the healing phase begins. In the first few days, redness and slight swelling may occur. The transplanted hair often falls out after a few weeks (shock loss) before new hair growth begins after 3 to 6 months. The final result is visible after around 9 to 12 months.

The hair transplant is performed under local anaesthetic. Hair follicles are taken from the donor area and then implanted into the bald areas. The duration of the procedure depends on the number of grafts transplanted and can range from 4–8 hours.
Thanks to the local anaesthetic, the hair transplant is largely free of pain. After the procedure there may be slight swelling or tightness, which subsides quickly.
