Innovative breast augmentation with Preservé in Berlin

For patients who want natural-looking, soft and mobile breasts, while preserving as much tissue, stability and structure as possible.

Preservé is not ideal if …

• very large implants are wanted (well over 450 cc / a strongly visible push-up effect),
• there is very little natural tissue with tight skin — Preservé needs a minimum of soft-tissue coverage,
• there is pronounced breast sagging (ptosis) — a lift is usually necessary here,
• a fully submuscular position is absolutely required (e.g. for anatomical reasons),
• maximum control over shape takes priority over a natural look — Preservé is designed for natural results, not for “designer breasts”,
• full physical activity or sport is expected straight away — Preservé also needs healing time.

The tissue-sparing Preservé technique was developed specifically for a lastingly stable shape and implant position. The precisely fitted tissue nest, or tissue pocket, holds the implant in place so that it does not shift during movement, sport or changes in weight.

Preservé breast augmentation is very tissue-sparing, but its disadvantages stem from exactly that. Because less dissection and fixation is carried out than with more classical techniques, control over the shape and position of the implant is more limited. In the first weeks the implant may sit somewhat higher and needs time to settle naturally.

In patients with very little natural tissue, the implant – especially in the upper breast – may be more palpable or visible than with more invasive methods that provide stronger soft-tissue coverage. The result also depends more on the individual tissue quality and on surgical skill, as there are fewer options for small corrections during surgery.

Preservé is also not a flexibly scalable technique: if very precise, strongly sculpted or exceptionally large results are wanted, the method reaches its limits sooner.

In short: Preservé trades maximum control over shape for gentleness, natural results and faster recovery – for many this is an advantage, but it is not ideal for every goal.

A surgical procedure always carries certain risks. In most cases, however, these are only mild, temporary complaints such as redness, swelling, bruising or a feeling of tightness in the breast. Genuine complications such as infections, post-operative bleeding or capsular contracture are rare and can often be avoided with the right aftercare. In studies with Motiva Ergonomix2® implants, no cases of capsular contracture have been found to date.
