Treatment
The BBL with your own fat takes place in several steps. First, excess fat is removed from areas such as the stomach, hips, thighs or back by gentle liposuction. The harvested fat is then cleaned and specially prepared to maximise the survival rate of the fat cells. It is then injected precisely into the buttocks, with the fat placed in different layers to achieve a harmonious, aesthetic result.
Aftercare & result
Because part of the injected fat cells is broken down again by the body, the final result is only visible after a few months. In the long term, however, the surviving fat remains permanently, provided your body weight stays stable. As it is your own tissue, the buttocks feel entirely natural after the healing phase.

The whole procedure usually takes two to four hours and is performed under general anaesthetic or twilight sedation. Directly after the treatment, the buttocks are swollen. The final result shows after about three to six months, once the transplanted fat has stabilised.
After the surgery, however, you should avoid sitting directly on the buttocks for about two weeks so as not to jeopardise the take rate of the fat cells. Physical activity is possible again after four to six weeks. Special compression clothing also helps to minimise swelling and to support the newly shaped tissue optimally.

Alternatives are buttock implants or hyaluronic acid fillers. Implants give a firmer shape, while fillers are suitable for a subtle increase in volume. At Innerform, however, we do not perform BBLs with implants, as the procedure is associated with an increased risk of complications.
Pain is individual, comparable to severe muscle soreness. The area is also tender for the first few days, but painkillers help to relieve the discomfort.
In the first 2 to 4 weeks, direct pressure on the buttocks should be avoided to ensure the fat cells take optimally.
