Tummy tuck in Berlin starting at €7,000 – also available in combination with liposuction and/or abdominal muscle tightening
Skin and tissue tightening for a firm, flat stomach
Once the skin has been stretched significantly—for example, due to pregnancy or major weight fluctuations—it does not always return to its original state. What remains is sagging skin and loose tissue, sometimes taking the form of a more pronounced “aponeurosis.” Many women—and men as well—no longer feel comfortable in their own bodies as a result and lose their self-confidence.
At Innerform in Berlin, we therefore offer tummy tucks (abdominoplasty). During this procedure, excess skin and tissue are removed and tightened to create a flat, firm abdominal area. Depending on the patient’s condition, liposuction or a tightening of the abdominal muscles may also be performed.

What our patients say about us
Tightening the abdominal wall after pregnancy or weight loss
After pregnancy or significant weight loss, the abdominal area often undergoes permanent changes. The skin has been stretched extensively over a long period of time and also loses elasticity as we age.
Similarly, the rectus abdominis muscles can drift apart. This condition, known as rectus diastasis, often leads to a visible, sometimes rounded bulge in the abdomen. Some people also feel that their core is no longer truly stable. This creates a disconnect between how they feel physically and how they look on the outside.
For many people, a tummy tuck is therefore an option once their weight has stabilized and exercise and a healthy lifestyle no longer promise further improvement. Depending on the individual’s specific condition, there are various methods and incision techniques available.
The procedure for a tummy tuck at Innerform in Berlin
1. Consultation & Preparation
Before a tummy tuck, we conduct a detailed consultation to determine the appropriate method and incision technique. During this consultation, we also discuss potential risks and provide guidance on how to prepare for the surgery.
As with other surgical procedures, you should stop taking blood-thinning medications and avoid nicotine approximately 2 to 4 weeks before the surgery.
Especially if you have had previous abdominal surgery, a supplementary ultrasound exam may be helpful to rule out any abdominal wall hernias. In addition, the location of the scar is planned so that it is as inconspicuous as possible and can be covered by underwear or a bikini/swimsuit. We therefore recommend that our patients wear or bring the underwear they wear most often on the day of the preoperative appointment.
Photos are also taken so that we can have before-and-after shots later on for a better comparison and to better assess the results.
2. Treatment or surgery
A tummy tuck is performed under general anesthesia and takes between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the patient's condition and the incision technique chosen.
Depending on the amount of excess skin and tissue, the tissue is removed, tightened, and the abdominal wall repositioned. The tissue and, if necessary, the muscles are sutured with strong sutures to ensure a lasting result. If necessary, the navel is also re-shaped and repositioned in a more aesthetically pleasing location.
The procedure can also be combined with liposuction or a repair of the rectus abdominis muscles (rectus diastasis).
3. Recovery time and follow-up care
After the procedure, you should expect a recovery period of about 2 to 4 weeks. During this time, it is important to avoid physical exertion. Our surgeons will also provide you with detailed instructions regarding this.
The final results will be visible after about 6 to 12 months, as the skin continues to heal and the scars fade. There is no need to remove stitches.
Tummy Tuck in Berlin: Treatment Options & Prices
The cost of a tummy tuck varies from person to person, as everyone’s preferences and circumstances are different. In addition to the extent of the procedure and the incision technique (treatment option), the pricing structure of the chosen clinic or practice also affects the final cost. Some providers, for example, bill separately for the materials used and follow-up appointments.
At Innerform in Berlin, however, all essential services are already included in the cost of a tummy tuck. These include:
- Anesthesia
- necessary preliminary examinations (e.g., blood count and ultrasound)
- Overnight stay(s)
- compression garment
- medicines
- Follow-up cost insurance
- Aftercare
- The attending physician is available 24/7 during the first 3 days
Starting at €7,000
After a personal consultation, we will be happy to provide an estimate of the costs involved in your specific case.
Traditional Abdominoplasty (Major Tummy Tuck)
In cases of significant excess skin and tissue in the lower and middle abdomen, a classic abdominoplasty is usually performed.
In this procedure, an arched incision is made above the pubic hairline, extending from one iliac crest to the other, and typically runs within the bikini line. The navel is cut around so that the excess skin can be moved, then removed and reinserted in its new position. The resulting scar is usually longer than with other incision techniques (sometimes >50 cm), but heals quite well over time and is generally inconspicuous afterward.
Important: In cases of a pronounced fat apron, an extended resection may also be necessary.
Anchor Stitch (Fleur-de-lis Stitch)
If there is also a significant excess of soft tissue in the upper abdomen, a purely horizontal incision is usually not sufficient to perform an even abdominoplasty. In these cases, the lower incision is combined with a vertical incision along the midline.
This so-called anchor technique, also known as the Fleur-de-lis technique, allows the excess tissue to be removed in both the horizontal and vertical directions and, in particular, to contour the upper abdomen.
Mini-tummy tuck (minor abdominoplasty)
In cases of minor, localized excess skin and tissue in the lower abdomen, the shorter version of the tummy tuck may be sufficient. The incision is made in a similar way to the classic method. However, it is significantly shorter, resulting in a smaller scar. Additionally, the navel is usually not repositioned with this method.

Who is a tummy tuck suitable for?
A tummy tuck is ideal for people who have excess skin and fat on their abdomen (often following significant weight loss or pregnancy). It is particularly suitable for people whose skin no longer retracts on its own.
Are there alternatives to a tummy tuck?
Yes, depending on the individual findings, less invasive methods, such as liposuction or non-surgical skin tightening, may also be considered.
What is the difference between a mini tummy tuck and a full tummy tuck?
- Mini tummy tuck: Suitable for people with moderate excess skin in the lower abdomen. The scar is smaller and the procedure is less invasive.
- Full abdominoplasty: Removes excess skin from the entire abdominal area, often combined with tightening of the abdominal muscles. The scar runs along the bikini line and is longer.
How long do the results of a tummy tuck last?
The results are permanent as long as your weight remains stable. Significant weight fluctuations, an unhealthy lifestyle, or (subsequent) pregnancies can affect the results.
Are the abdominal muscles also tightened during a tummy tuck?
Yes, if necessary. Rectus diastasis (separated abdominal muscles) may be present, particularly after pregnancy or severe weight loss, which is sutured and tightened during the operation.
Are there visible scars after a tummy tuck?
The scar from a tummy tuck runs horizontally across the lower abdomen, usually low enough to be covered by underwear or a bikini. Scar healing varies from person to person, but can be improved with special skincare products and laser treatments.
How long does it take to heal after a tummy tuck?
The initial recovery period lasts about 2–4 weeks, during which swelling and bruising may occur, especially in the first few weeks. The final results are fully visible after about 6–12 months.
Can a tummy tuck be combined with liposuction?
Yes, liposuction is often performed in conjunction with the procedure to achieve more harmonious results. This is particularly common in the flanks or waist area.
When can I start exercising again after a tummy tuck?
Light physical activity is permitted after about 2 weeks. Strenuous physical activity, especially abdominal exercises, should be avoided for at least 6–8 weeks.
What are the risks associated with a tummy tuck?
Possible risks include impaired wound healing, infections, scarring, fluid buildup (seromas), or temporary loss of sensation in the abdominal area. However, these risks can be significantly minimized simply by choosing an experienced surgeon.
