Anti-Cellulite Treatment with VASER® Smooth in Berlin

Cellulite is caused by hardened strands of connective tissue that pull the skin inward in certain areas, creating the characteristic dimples and unevenness. VASER® Smooth targets these areas specifically: Using state-of-the-art ultrasound technology and specialized probes, these strands are precisely loosened and severed while the surrounding tissue is spared.

In most cases, VASER® Smooth is used in conjunction with VASERlipo® liposuction . This combines two benefits: it reduces stubborn fat tissue and breaks down cellulite bands. The result is a twofold improvement— more defined contours and a noticeably smoother skin texture.

Treatment Areas: On which parts of the body can anti-cellulite treatment be performed?

The most commonly treated areas of the body include

  • thigh
  • butt
  • Hips

However, cellulite in other areas of the body can usually be treated without any problems.

The Causes of Cellulite

The exact causes of cellulite have not yet been fully researched or conclusively proven to the extent required. However, it seems certain that several factors interact. These include, among others:

  • Genetic predisposition (family history)
  • Nature/structure of the connective tissue (weaker = more susceptible)
  • Changes in adipose tissue (shortened connective strands), e.g., due to aging or a lack of exercise
  • Hormonal changes, such as those caused by pregnancy, birth control pills, or menopause
  • Individual fat distribution
  • Lifestyle and environmental factors, including smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, lack of physical activity and fluid intake, a diet high in sugar and salt, obesity, and stress
  • Reduced blood and lymph flow with fluid and electrolyte retention

Cellulite Severity: How severe is my cellulite?

The severity of cellulite is classified into three categories:

  • Grade 1: The first stage, in which the characteristic dimples (slightly raised, honeycomb-like irregularities) are visible only when the affected skin areas are pinched.
  • Grade 2: The dimples are clearly visible when standing, even without applying pressure to the skin. When lying down, they may partially smooth out again.
  • Grade 3: The skin irregularities are clearly visible both when standing and lying down and are deeply pronounced.

However, cellulite should not be confused with lipedema. While cellulite is primarily a cosmetic issue, lipedema is a pathological disorder of fat distribution. It is often accompanied by tenderness and a tendency to swell and requires separate treatment.

Procedure: Cellulite Treatment at Innerform in Berlin

1. Consultation & Preparation

Before treatment, we provide detailed consultation during a personal consultation to discuss the available options as well as any suitable alternatives. For example, in cases of severe lipedema, treatment with VASER® liposuction may be more appropriate. For mild cellulite, non-surgical treatments such as Thermage® or LPG® can also be effective.

We also provide specific instructions for the period leading up to the procedure. These include drinking plenty of water (about 2.5–3 liters per day) in the three to five days before the treatment. In addition, you should avoid using shower gel, creams, and other skincare products on the treated area for at least 24 hours before and after the treatment.

2. Treatment

Depending on the individual findings and personal preferences, the procedure is performed either under local anesthesia or general anesthesia. A special, fine ultrasound probe is inserted through tiny incisions in the skin to loosen or sever fibrotic (hardened) strands of connective tissue. At the same time, the ultrasound energy used liquefies fat cells, and the resulting heat also slightly tightens the skin.

If necessary, excess fat is suctioned off at the same time.

3. Follow-up care

Mild swelling or bruising may occur immediately after the treatment, but these symptoms will subside within a few days. Wearing compression garments for 1–2 weeks during this time supports the healing process and ensures optimal results. You should avoid exercise, saunas, and intense sun exposure during this period.

Cellulite Treatment in Berlin: Prices

Since there are numerous approaches to treating cellulite, prices can vary significantly. These range from relatively inexpensive massages and special creams—which usually, if at all, provide only temporary relief and therefore need to be used more frequently—to micro- or minimally invasive procedures with long-lasting results that cost several thousand euros.

For permanent treatments, prices depend primarily on the clinic or practice you choose, as well as on the size of the treated areas and the severity of the cellulite (degree of severity).

The long-lasting VASER® Smooth cellulite treatment is available at Innerform in Berlin starting at €3,000, including all essential services:

  • Anesthesia
  • Required preliminary examinations

Why is VASER® Smooth often combined with liposuction?

Cellulite and excess fat deposits often occur together. The combination ensures that, in addition to the connective tissue strands, unwanted fat deposits are also reduced - for a more even, harmonious result.

How does the VASER® Smooth cellulite treatment work?

A special probe is inserted through tiny openings in the skin to cut through the hardened connective tissue strands. If necessary, excess fat is suctioned out at the same time.

Is the anti-cellulite treatment painful?

The treatment is carried out under local anesthesia or in twilight sleep. You will not feel any pain during the procedure, but you may experience a slight feeling of tension after the treatment.

How long does a VASER® Smooth treatment for cellulite take?

The treatment alone takes around 60-90 minutes. In combination with liposuction, the time is extended accordingly.

When will I be presentable again after a cellulite treatment?

Usually after a few days. Slight swelling or bruising is possible, but subsides quickly.

How many sessions are needed for the cellulite to disappear?

One session is usually enough to achieve a significantly smoother complexion.

Are there any specific recommendations for aftercare following cellulite treatment?

Yes. We recommend wearing compression garments for 1–2 weeks after treatment, avoiding strenuous physical activity for the first few days, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle for long-term results.
