What our patients say about us
Looking for aesthetic breast correction and breast lift in Berlin?
It is completely normal for skin to lose elasticity with age. However, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or significant weight loss can also strain, damage, and/or cause the tissue to sag. This is especially true for larger breasts. Many women then feel uncomfortable with the shape and firmness of their breasts and consider a breast lift.
What is meant by a breast lift?
A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, focuses on tightening and lifting the breast tissue without significantly changing its volume.
Excess skin is removed and the breast tissue is repositioned to lift the breasts and refine their shape. A breast lift can be performed alone or in combination with breast reduction or augmentation.
When is a breast lift considered?
Women often choose this method.
- when the nipple no longer "stands up,"
- for sagging or "empty" breasts after pregnancy or breastfeeding,
- when tissue weakens (including genetically),
- after significant weight loss,
- in cases of slight breast asymmetry,
- in cases where the shape of the breasts does not feel in harmony with the rest of the body and individual expectations (e.g., due to abnormal breast development such as tubular breasts),
- after a long period of time with heavier implants or
- for generally sagging skin with increasing age.
Important: A breast lift is also an option for men who suffer from severe gynecomastia or sagging breast tissue due to hormonal imbalance, weight gain, or the natural aging process.
Breast lift in combination with implants in Berlin (breast augmentation)
For patients who desire firmer breasts and increased volume
A breast lift can be combined with classic breast augmentation. An implant (Motiva® or Mentor) is inserted to improve the volume and shape. Excess skin is then removed, the tissue is tightened, the nipple is moved to a higher position, and the remaining skin is shaped into a natural, firm breast.
Breast lift combined with autologous fat (breast augmentation through lipofilling)
For patients who desire natural breast augmentation with simultaneous lifting
Implants are not the right choice for every patient. Many women want a natural option without foreign materials and therefore choose the option of autologous fat transfer. First, fat tissue is gently extracted through liposuction, then prepared (cleaned) and injected into the breast before the surrounding skin is finally shaped as part of a breast lift.
Breast lift in combination with implants & autologous fat (hybrid breast augmentation)
For patients who desire more volume, natural contours, and a particularly balanced result
Hybrid breast augmentation involves the use of implants and autologous fat. The implant provides the basic volume and shape, while the autologous fat ensures very soft, natural transitions and contours. Minor modeling can also be performed, especially if a breast lift is carried out afterwards. This often allows several cup sizes to be achieved without the result looking unnatural.
Breast lift in combination with breast reduction
For patients with larger breast volume who desire harmonious proportions
In addition to breast augmentation, breast reduction in combination with a lift may also be considered in some cases. This may be the case, for example, if the patient has had very large breasts since puberty or after pregnancy. It is not uncommon for patients to experience symptoms such as back, neck, or shoulder pain.
During reduction surgery, the first step is therefore to remove tissue before the breast is lifted and reshaped.
The breast lift procedure at Innerform in Berlin
1. Consultation & Preparation
Together, we discuss your wishes, ideas, and all the options available. Should implants also be used? Or should the breasts be reduced in size? Of course, we also explain the possible risks and give recommendations for preparing for the procedure.
2. The day of the operation
A breast lift is performed under general anesthesia and usually takes around 2 to 3 hours. Unlike breast reduction surgery, no breast tissue is removed, or only a very small amount. Instead, excess skin and connective tissue are reduced, the existing glandular tissue is reshaped, and the nipple is moved to a higher, more natural position to achieve a youthful and harmonious breast shape.
The incisions are usually made around the nipple and vertically downwards or along the crease under the breast, depending on the extent of the lift and the desired results.
In addition, a technique known as "inner bra" can also be used, in which an internal support is formed from the body's own tissue. This stabilizes the breast in the long term and prevents it from sagging (as quickly), even if the connective tissue is weaker.
Aftercare
As with other surgical procedures, you should take it easy physically for the first few weeks. Swelling, bruising, and mild pain may occur temporarily. Increased sensitivity of the nipples, temporary hardening, and visible scars are also possible. However, these usually subside within a few months as healing progresses. To stabilize the new breast shape, a specially fitted support bra is worn for approximately 3 months.
However, everyday life can often be resumed after a short period of time. Sports should not be practiced until the treating physician gives the go-ahead, as otherwise the result may not be as desired. The final breast shape will be visible after about 6 months.
During this time, regular follow-up appointments will of course take place to ensure that everything is healing as expected. Naturally, you can also clarify any questions that may arise at any time.
Important: Immediately after the lift, the breasts may appear almost too full. However, after about 3 months, they will begin to settle as part of the healing process. For this reason, the results should only be evaluated after about 6 months. These results usually remain stable for several years, depending on the quality of the skin and tissue as well as the patient's lifestyle.

Can I still breastfeed after a breast lift?
How long do the results of a breast lift last?
What does a breast lift achieve?

How exactly does a breast lift work?
When will the final results of a breast lift be visible?
The final results of a breast lift are usually visible approximately 6 months after the procedure.
Can I still breastfeed after a breast lift?
Since breast lift surgery does not usually damage the nipple or the milk ducts to the mammary gland, breastfeeding is still possible afterwards. However, especially in the case of extensive lifts, the glandular tissue and subcutaneous tissue can also become scarred internally, which can limit the ability to breastfeed.
How long do the results of a breast lift last?
In principle, the results are permanent. However, the skin and tissue continue to age with advancing age, so further tightening may be necessary.
What does a breast lift achieve?
Depending on the initial situation, the following changes can be made during a breast lift:
- Improve shape and strength
- Lift and reshape the breast
- Move the nipples to a higher, more natural position, adjusting the size and shape of the areola if necessary.
- Reduce excess skin and tighten tissue
- Improving breast projection using your own tissue (autoaugmentation)
- Support inner stability with an "inner bra"
How can you prevent sagging breasts?
Over the course of a lifetime, skin and tissue lose elasticity and firmness. However, there are ways to slow down the process:
- Avoid smoking
- Exercise regularly
- Keep weight stable
- Protect yourself from UV radiation (premature skin aging)
Will breast lift surgery leave visible scars?
Yes, scars are unavoidable with a breast lift. However, they are usually very fine and fade significantly over time.
What are the risks associated with a breast lift?
As with other surgical procedures, breast lifts also carry certain risks. These include, for example:
- Allergic reactions to medications
- postoperative bleeding
- bruises
- feelings of tension
- Problems with wound healing
- Mostly temporary sensitivity disorders in the nipple or skin
How exactly does a breast lift work?
During a breast lift, excess skin is removed from the lower breast area. In the next step, a new breast is formed using the remaining upper parts. To do this, the areola and nipples are usually repositioned together with the nerves and blood vessels.
