Autologous blood therapy for natural tissue activation for radiant skin and fuller hair

PRP is an effective, very well-tolerated treatment for the skin and hair (or scalp) using platelet-rich plasma derived from the patient's own blood, delivering natural results without the risk of infection.

The body's own plasma is used to activate the skin's regenerative processes, which result in radiant, rejuvenated skin and strong hair.

Natural rejuvenation, regeneration, and cell activation with PRP

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy, also known as autologous blood therapy or the "vampire facelift," is a natural and effective method for skin rejuvenation and hair strengthening.

This procedure uses the body’s own plasma to stimulate cell regeneration. This increases collagen and hyaluronic acid production, which in turn improves the appearance of the skin. In addition, PRP can also promote hair growth by strengthening the hair follicles and improving blood circulation in the scalp.

PRP Treatment for the Face in Berlin

On the face, PRP helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin elasticity and refine the complexion for an even, radiant appearance. It also supports wound healing and accelerates the natural regeneration of the skin.

At Innerform, we use PRP for facial treatments, including

  • Dark circles under the eyes,
  • fine lines and
  • a generally uneven complexion.

PRP Treatment for Hair in Berlin

Hair loss can have many causes. For example, it can be hereditary, hormone-related, or caused by nutritional deficiencies. This often takes a toll on self-confidence. That’s why at Innerform, we also offer scalp treatments using PRP.

Here, too, the body’s own plasma activates the regenerative powers of the blood, thereby stimulating hair growth, strengthening the hair roots, and thickening thinning hair. At the same time, it improves the supply of nutrients to the scalp, resulting in stronger, healthier hair. In some cases, the treatment may therefore even be considered as an alternative to, or at least as a complementary option alongside, a hair transplant.

The PRP treatment process at Innerform in Berlin

1. Consultation & Preparation

During the initial consultation, we’ll assess your current condition and work with you to determine which treatment will help you achieve your desired results. To do this, we’ll listen to your goals, ask specific questions, conduct a thorough medical history review, and examine your skin or scalp. We’ll also advise you on any additional or complementary methods that may be suitable for rejuvenating your skin and/or strengthening and thickening your hair.

2. Treatment

The treatment begins with a small blood draw. Plasma is separated from the blood. It is then centrifuged to obtain platelet-rich plasma. Meanwhile, an anesthetic cream is applied or a local anesthetic is administered. The PRP is then injected using fine needles into the previously disinfected area of the face or scalp.

3. Follow-up Care & Results

Since the procedure is minimally invasive, there is generally no downtime. Although mild redness may occur, it usually subsides within a few hours.

In some cases, the first results are visible shortly after the initial treatment. However, since the body’s natural regenerative processes take time, the final results usually become apparent only in the weeks that follow. Depending on the findings, multiple sessions and occasional maintenance treatments may also be recommended.

How often should a PRP treatment be carried out?

For optimal results, a course of 3–4 PRP treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended. After that, a maintenance treatment every 6–12 months is sufficient.

When can you see the first results after PRP treatment?

With PRP for the skin, a fresher complexion is often visible after just the first treatment. However, it takes 3–6 months for collagen to fully regenerate. With PRP for hair, visible thickening and strengthening of the hair become apparent after about 3 months.

How long do the results of PRP last?

Improvements in skin quality or hair growth following PRP treatment can last anywhere from several months to a year. A healthy lifestyle and regular maintenance treatments help prolong the effects.

Is PRP treatment painful?

Blood draws and injections during PRP treatment are minimally invasive and cause only minimal discomfort. An anesthetic cream can be applied upon request.

Does PRP help with hereditary hair loss?

Yes, PRP can slow the progression of androgenetic alopecia and promote hair growth. However, it is not effective on hair follicles that have completely died—in such cases, a hair transplant is the far better option.

Are there any side effects associated with PRP?

Since PRP is derived from your own blood, allergic reactions are impossible. However, mild redness, swelling, or bruising may occur. These symptoms subside quickly, though.

Can PRP be combined with other treatments?

Yes, PRP can be ideally combined with laser treatments, other injections, or a hair transplant to promote regeneration and cell growth.

Who is not suitable for PRP?

People with acute skin infections, blood clotting disorders, or autoimmune diseases should consult a doctor before undergoing PRP treatment.

What should you keep in mind after PRP treatment?

Direct sunlight, saunas, and exercise should be avoided for 24–48 hours after PRP treatment. In addition, the treated skin should be gently cared for and not irritated.
