VASER® liposuction is considered one of the most modern methods for gently and precisely shaping the body. In contrast to traditional liposuction, VASER® uses ultrasound energy to specifically dissolve fat cells before they are suctioned out. This means less trauma for the surrounding tissue, faster recovery and a particularly even result.
This technique is suitable for almost all areas of the body - from the stomach, hips and thighs to the arms, back and chin. It can even be used to achieve fine contouring, such as muscle definition ("high-definition liposuction"). Many patients opt for VASER® because they want a natural-looking but clearly visible improvement - without the long downtime previously associated with liposuction.
Treatment procedure
The treatment is carried out in several precise steps:
Infiltration - A special solution containing anesthetics is injected into the fatty tissue. It prepares the tissue, reduces bleeding and ensures a gentle treatment.
Ultrasound technology - Ultrasound waves are emitted via a fine probe, which gently loosen the fat cells while protecting structures such as nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue.
Suction - The liquefied fat is removed using particularly thin cannulas. This creates a harmonious, natural result - free of hard edges or irregularities.
A particular advantage: as the connective tissue remains largely intact, the skin can usually contract better after the procedure. This not only makes the silhouette appear slimmer, but also firmer.
Result and durability
Just a few weeks after the treatment, the body contours are clearly refined. The final result develops within three to six months, once the swelling has completely subsided. Because fat cells do not grow back once they have been removed, the result is permanent - provided the weight remains stable. Many patients find the results particularly "natural", as VASER® not only removes fat, but also harmoniously models the proportions of the body.
Important aspects of aftercare
In the first few weeks after the procedure, wearing special compression garments supports skin tightening and reduces swelling. To further promote healing, we recommend regular manual or automated lymphatic drainage - for example with Emtone. It helps to reduce fluid retention, accelerates regeneration and contributes to an even better aesthetic result.
Light exercise is possible again soon after consultation with a doctor, but intensive sport should only be resumed once the healing process has progressed far enough.

What is the difference between VASER liposuction and conventional liposuction?
In contrast to traditional liposuction, VASER® ultrasound technology is used to loosen fat cells more gently. This leaves nerves and blood vessels largely untouched, resulting in faster healing, less bruising and improved skin tightening. VASER® is also particularly suitable for high-definition body contouring.
Which areas of the body can be treated with VASER®?
VASER® can be used on many areas of the body, including:
- Belly
- Hips & Waist
- Thigh (inside & outside)
- Back
- Upper arms
- Chin & neck
- Breast (e.g. for gynecomastia)
Is VASER® liposuction suitable for everyone?
This method is particularly suitable for people with stubborn fat deposits that persist despite a healthy diet and exercise. However, it is not a weight loss method and is not suitable for severely overweight people.
Is the treatment painful?
VASER® liposuction is performed under local anesthesia, twilight sleep or general anesthesia so that no pain is felt during the treatment. After the operation, there may be slight pain, tightness or swelling, which can be easily treated with painkillers.
How long does it take to heal after VASER® liposuction?
Most patients can resume light everyday activities after a few days. Swelling and bruising will subside within 2-4 weeks. Sport should be avoided for approx. 4-6 weeks. The final result can be seen after approx. 3-6 months.
Do I have to wear compression garments after the treatment?
Yes, wearing a compression garment for about 4-6 weeks is essential to minimize swelling and support optimal healing and skin adaptation.
When will I see the first results?
A change is already visible immediately after the treatment. However, the final result takes several months to develop, as the skin needs time to adapt to the new body shape.
How long does the result last?
The result is permanent, as fat cells that have been removed do not grow back. However, remaining fat cells can increase in size if you gain weight. A healthy diet and regular exercise help to maintain the result in the long term.
Can VASER® liposuction be combined with other treatments?
Yes, VASER® is often combined with the following treatments:
- J-Plasma: For additional skin tightening
- BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift): For body contouring with autologous fat
- EMTONE: For faster healing and improved skin quality
What are the risks of VASER® liposuction?
As with any aesthetic procedure, there are risks, including
- Swelling & bruising
- Temporary feelings of numbness
- Irregularities in the skin contour (if not carried out properly)
- Infections (very rare)
